Start November with the Fitness 5!

Hello and welcome Headliners and Rockstars to the one and only Rockstar Nation! 

We jump into November with the 

*Fitness Friday 5*

1,Walk 20 minutes after dinner

  • Taking a 20 minute walk after dinner each night can not only help with your heart health from moderate conditioning, but can get your metabolism going to burn those calories consumed at dinner! 

2.No Afternoon Coffee

  • Coffee and caffeine is healthy and can help with many things like energy, reduce body soreness, and can even get you to work on time 🙂
  • But…what if you are an afternoon coffee drinker regularly?
  • That can lead to
  • a. Longer time to fall asleep 
  • b. More restful sleep to reduce the bodies ability to recover and relax 

3.“Breakfast like a King 

Lunch like a Prince 

Dinner like a Pauper”

4. Serve proper portions and don’t go back for seconds

5. Be the Pigeon!?

  • a. Kneeling on the floor on all fours 
  • b. Keep your right hand on floor 
  • c. Slide left shin behind right hand 
  • As close to 90 degrees as possible 
  • d. Chest out 
  • e. Keep upper body very tall-like you want to “hit your head” on the ceiling 
  • f. Keep arms straight 
  • Hold 5 seconds, relax and repeat
  • -Do 3 times-
