Sun’s Out. Get Some.

As I write this email it is 70 and sunny outside and I just walked a good 20 minutes to grab today’s 1 item of health item of this week!…Vitamin D and our friend the sun’s golden glow. 

Each week in March I am going to keep it simple and give you 1 actionable step to health, develop better wellness, and help you live your best life 🙂

Vitamin D that the sun blesses us with most days here in the Granite Sate has a few really nice benefits like:

-Bone Health

a. Vitamin D helps bone regulating calcium and phosphate levels 

-Immune System Support

a. Vitamin D helps the body fight off invading bacteria and viruses 

-Muscle and Nerve Function

a. Helps muscles better, stronger, and do what they are meant to do!

b. Nerves get a boost to move faster through the body from your brain to the edges of your toes.  

-Improve Mood, the Brain, and have more Happiness

a. Vitamin can do a lot and can even help us with improving our mood by elevating levels of serotonin that can help lower feelings of depression.

b. Improve brain function with a neuroactive steroid. Which is a fancy term for a hormone that will boost the effects of vitamin D.   

-Lower Risk of Disease

a. Lower levels of vitamins can be linked to a vary of chronic conditions including Type-2 Diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and certain types of cancers  

-Make your skin look Fresh 🙂

a. We all look better, feel better, and get a healthy glow to our largest organ on our body…the Skin!
