Hello and welcome to another fun filled holiday season with family, friends, and lots and lots!…of sugary or not-so healthy foods.
Having a cookie here and there before dinner will not spoil it, and sorry to burst that old wise tale :), but too many little treats can affect your energy and ability to live a healthier life.
The body loves sugar. Sugar is a dopamine hit to the brain like any super exciting touchdown in an NFL game or a goal in a World Cup Final 🙂
Why does the brain love sugar!?
Sugar is the primary source of energy for every cell in the body. Because the brain is so rich in nerve cells, or neurons, it is the most energy-demanding organ, using one-half of all the sugar energy in the body.
When we think about gaining energy for your next workout, walk, game or hike, think about: is this a Good sugar selection or is this item Not so good?!

-Candy
-Cookies
-Cake
-Donuts
-Pizza
-Soda
