The holiday season is here and that means lots of distractions which can be coming at you at warp speed. This can be anything from stress, food :), extra meetings or our upcoming members Rockstar Fitness Holiday bash!…not a distraction just a fun plug haha.
Managing outcomes, time and your energy to complete items that are
*have to’s* and *wants* is the key to staying healthy through this first part of the holiday season.
I like to break things down into 3 questions:
- Is this going to help me meet my goals?
- Is this going to positively affect how I feel right now or not?
- Is there a compromise I can make that will keep me on the path to my goals?
A good explanation can be:
1. Popcorn with low amounts of butter, salt, and sugar
2. Dark chocolate instead of a milk chocolate delight
3. Peanut Butter sandwich instead of a donut
We all can have a cheat meal, a cookie, some butter on your popcorn, but the key is to stick to a plan and manage the urge to jump overboard.
