The month of May is for fitness as discussed last week, but just as important is our mental health.
Our mental health can be a deciding factor whether it helps us from reaching our goals or not.
When we think about things to do each night before we go to bed we want to keep things simple.
If I told you there was a routine that would take you only 5 minutes , you’ll be laying on the ground, relaxing, and preparing your mind for sleep and health…. Could you do that?
In the true Rockstar style of course you can 🙂
Mental health goes hand-in-hand with physical health .
*Relax into the night*
Belly breathing is a good way to relax, center yourself and allow yourself to stretch with less tension giving you a better outcome.
Simple is the name of the game:
Pick a space that is roughly the same as your height
Lying on your back
Hands on your stomach
Feel your breath come in. Inhale for 5 seconds
Breath out through teeth for 5 seconds
Now that we have started to relax our nervous system and our muscles let’s get the fitness-y side of May in!
Most times our pain, discomfort and tension lies in 3 areas of the body
- Hips
- Shoulder/Upper back
- Feet believe it or not 🙂
Try these Rockstar Fitness favorites:
-Floor slides
-Kneeling Ankle stretches
-90/90 Hip Stretch
The gateway to mental and physical health can be simple as proper breathing, and stretching 3x per week before bed or as we wake.
Enjoy the videos below to make sure you are correctly doing the exercises to build health, wellness, and energy for all day!
