It’s finally here…dare I say the end of winter 🙂 …and finally the start of Spring!
April is National Move More Month and what a perfect time to get out of the house into some warm sun and just move a little…or a lot!
Lo and behold Rockstar Fitness is participating in a fun Move More April inspired challenge called “Walk it Out”
-20 minutes of walking
-3-5 days a week
Walking is a great way to grab your share of
-Cardiovascular Health
-Fresh air to boost your immune system
-Healthy and energy boosting Vitamin D from the sun
…and face full of Spring each walk!
What if walking is hard to achieve due to
-Work
-After school driving kids to sports
-No available space to walk??
Take the Stairs instead of the elevator
It has been proven that taking the stairs is linked to a decrease in Heart Disease and Stroke by as much as 39% and 24% of any early death of any cause.
Everyone’s Favorite :)…Doing House Chores Count!
You can burn anywhere from 150-450 calories with things like
mopping floors
mowing the lawn
Yard work…Farmer Walks may come to mind in Headliners!
Dancing..oh yaa!
It’s said that participating in dances such as the Electric slide or the Macarena Don’t Count…well maybe that is just for me as the author of this newsletter haha, But either way you want to move your arms, hips, and shake it off is fine by me as long as you are having fun and moving!
