A Brain new Spring

Hello and welcome back to the one and only Rockstar Friday Newsletter!

As spring has come in like a lion…almost May…and still be able to sun yourself in the warm temps of spring we think about what can make our mental state match the vitamin D our skin gets from the wonderful warm temps?

Let’s break it down first into a couple categories of what we can do to have better Mental Health as spring runs along. 

Prioritize Physical Health

-Exercise…maybe even the Best 🙂

2/3 x per week

60 minutes pere session 

Stretch 3x per week

walk 3-5x per week for 20-60 minutes each 

-Healthy Food Choices

More colors the better of fruits and veggies

4-6 servings of fruits and veggies 

More Water the Better

-Quality Sleep

6-8 hours per night 

No screens 1 hour before bed 

No bright lights after the ones in the bedroom go out

Spend time in Nature

Walking…hint…hint 🙂

Gardening

Kayaking 

Bike riding

Sit in the Sun to soak in the healthy Vitamin D

Manage Stress

-Stress Reduction 

Meditation 

Deep breathing 

Belly Breathing laying on floor

Yoga 

Dancing 

Painting 

Viewing Art: A new review of 38 studies and 6800 participants have proven that looking at, viewing and maybe even just gazing at art for the (non-art peeps) out there that being present, viewing pieces of Art can bring a sense of

2. Personal Growth

3. Purpose in Life 

-Mindfulness

Be present 

Focus on tasks at hand 

Write down your “To-Do” list and check them items off!

Make this spring a better one with more attention to yourself and your health in more than just the weights we lift 🙂
